Top 5 ‘Fortnite’ Collaborations
While Fortnite used to be looked at as a goofy game for kids, it has grown an enormous fanbase among teen and adult gamers in the last few years. This could be because of how fun the games’ seasons are, but the more likely reason is that Epic Games has become known for its amazing collaborations with other brands, games, and fandoms. Most fans now look forward to seeing which collaborations will be present in the newest seasons rather than looking forward to the new maps, characters, and Battle Pass skins. Let's take a look at five of Fortnite’s best collaborations!
5. Netflix
One of the best things about Fortnite’s collaborations is that they tend to partner with brands as a whole, so players get multiple characters rather than just a select few. The game’s collaboration with Netflix gave players access to characters from Arcane and Stranger Things. In collaboration with Arcane, fans got access to Jinx and Vi, plus all of their accessories in the item shop. I am keeping my fingers crossed that these characters will be making their way back to the shop when season two of the show arrives. In collaboration with Stranger Things, players were given access to Chief Hopper and the Demogorgon in the item shop.

4. Marvel
Fortnite’s collaborations with Marvel Studios have spanned years, but their most recent collaborations are what helped them make this list. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man was the first Marvel Studios collaboration that I took part in. Players had access to both Holland’s Spider-Man and Zendaya’s MJ in the item shop and were given web slingers and the ability to explore The Daily Bugle on the map. In the current season, fans have access to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse characters in the shop and web slingers on the map.
3. Musicians
Most of the collaborations with musicians take place within the creative playlists, so they are missed by a lot of players. One of the best ways to take part in the collaborations is through iHeartLand, which is sponsored by iHeart Radio. This specific creative map features concerts by artists such as Fall Out Boy, Charlie Puth, and Bailey Zimmerman. Fans can explore minigames while listening to new music and interviews with the current featured artist. Other collaborations have given musicians the ability to create their own map and take fans through an immersive experience with their music. The best of these have been Aya Nakamura and The Kid Laroi.
2. Anime
Fortnite’s anime collaborations almost took the first spot on this list! The collaborations have included Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Z Super, My Hero Academia, and Attack on Titan. The collaboration with Naruto gave us beloved characters like Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and Kakashi to buy in the item shop. The other three anime collaborations saw fan-favorite characters added to the map, but players also got anime-specific powers on the map. In collaboration with Dragon Ball Z and Super, players could visit Kame House, use Capsule Corp capsules, talk to fan-favorite characters, and even use the Kamehameha wave. In collaboration with My Hero Academia, players could use Deku’s smash and find All Might balloons that were filled with health and weapons. In collaboration with Attack on Titan, players got to use ODM Gear, thunder spears, and practice on wooden Titans.
1. Star Wars
By far, the best collaboration Fortnite has done to date is with Star Wars and LucasFilm. Not only have the collaborations brought characters to the shop, such as Leia, Luke, Han, Obi-Wan, and Darth Maul, but they also gave us amazing additions to the map. Players have had the opportunity to fight Clone Troopers, Storm Troopers, and Darth Vader. The most recent collaboration also gave players the ability to learn force abilities from either Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan, or Darth Maul, which would allow them to use force jump, push, throw, and/or pull, as well as blue, green, and/or red lightsabers.
