Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the highly anticipated sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The sequel came out in April of this year and was an immediate success. The sequel continued the story of Cal Kestis five years after the events of Fallen Order. The Mantis crew has since gone their separate ways, but they reunite with Cal in order to further their rebellion against the Empire. Like the first game, there were many wonderful (and emotional) moments in the game.

**Spoilers ahead!**

5. Greez's Bar

While it's a simple moment, it becomes a staple of the game. When you reunite with Greez, you find out that he has opened a bar. As the game goes on, you are able to recruit various people who will be at the bar. They will be there just to chat, or give you quests, but it gives Cal a place to call “home” when he’s traveling. It’s a place where he knows he is welcome. It’s important to see how much Greez has grown since the first time we met him, and how far Cal’s reach has extended too.

The Mantis crew has separated after the events of Fallen Order. They have all gone their own way, with Greez even going as far as opening his own bar. At first, the game feels a bit empty without the crew you grew to love in the first game, but that feeling eventually changes. Cal is able to convince Greez to accompany him on his journeys and to fly the Mantis once more. They head to Jedha, where they are reunited with Merrin and Cere. You also learn what Merrin and Cere have done with their time away, and it's just wonderful to see them all together again.

3. Cal Going Dark In The ISB Base

We were always taught that Jedi are supposed to resist the dark side of the Force; however, Survivor changes that a bit. After Bode’s betrayal, and seeing his master Cere and Eno Codrova dead, Cal fully embraces his pain, anger, and grief, and uses the dark side to survive the fight on Jedha against the Empire. He uses this again later, after finding Bode and his daughter on Tanalorr. Cal is always able to come back to the light, but it was definitely an interesting development to his character and a new way to see how the dark side of the Force can be wielded by a Jedi.

2. Finding Tanalorr

Tanalorr is a mysterious place that only two Jedi knew about. Dagan Gera wanted to protect it, killing his partner to keep it secret. It is Cal’s mission throughout the game to find this mysterious place as well. By the end of the game, Cal is successful, and it is worth the wait; it’s absolutely gorgeous, and the perfect place for Cal to build up his Rebellion and take down the Empire once and for all.

1. Cere Confronting Vader

In Fallen Order, Cal gets surprised by Darth Vader in Fortress Inqusitorius when he is confronting Trilla. In order to survive, he has to run for his life, which he does. The Darth Vader moment in Survivor however is much different; this moment in the sequel is between Cere and Darth Vader. The Empire has found the safehouse on Jedha and has started to execute its plan to destroy it. It’s the place where Cere was storing information about Force-sensitive children across the galaxy, and their safe place from the Empire. The stormtroopers didn’t come alone, and Darth Vader himself makes an appearance. While in the archives, the player is given control of Cere, and you must fight Vader. She is a great fighter and is able to hold her own among a very powerful Sith Lord. This is short-lived, however; eventually, Cere meets her end at the hands of Vader. While it's a sad moment, it's also extremely important to Cal’s story.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an excellent continuation of a great video game series. The cast of characters we grew to love have all grown up. They care deeply for each other, and that is increasingly evident in the sequel. With the ending, it will be interesting to see where the third game goes, and how it continues the beloved series.
