There are few things more polarizing within the Star Wars fandom than the live-action series. Personally, I think that the live-action series are some of the best content in all of Star Wars, and they are definitely better than the sequel trilogy. While I do think that all of the live-action content is fantastic, there are some seasons that we would rather forget ever happened. So, I thought it would be fun to do a definitive ranking of the live-action series by season.

7.The Mandalorian’ Season 3 (2023)

Bo-Katan, Grogu and Din

Let’s be honest, this was no one's favorite season. The Mandalorian series is some of my favorite Star Wars content, and even I was struggling to make it to the finale. This season lost all of the love, charm, and wit of the first two seasons by deciding to push Din Djarin and Grogu to the back of the narrative. There were so many amazing things that were introduced in this season, but it was all lost in the poor writing choices.

6.The Book Of Boba Fett’ Season 1 (2021)

I loved the beginning of this series! It was a genius move to bring back a classic character and feed him into the new narrative of the franchise. Unfortunately, halfway through the season, Boba Fett became the supporting character of his own show when it was decided to make The Mandalorian season 2.5. The entire story arc they did with Luke, Ahsoka, Din, and Grogu could have been put into The Mandalorian season three, and it would have made that season one of the best yet. I’m still mad that we haven’t gotten a season two of this show.

5. ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Season 1 (2022)

Obi-Wan and Leia

I loved everything about this show especially that scene between Obi-Wan and Vader. I wish that they would decide to do season two of this show because I would love to see what Obi-Wan was doing in his training after saving Leia. This is a period in Star Wars that I really want more content from since pretty much everything we know about is just word of mouth from other characters.

4. ‘Andor’ Season 1 (2022)

Cassian Andor

I think this was the biggest surprise to everyone with how phenomenal it was but also how impactful the narrative was. This show has some of the best writing and set design in all of Star Wars, and the monologue at the end of the series still gives me chills. I am really excited to see what season two of this show is going to be like.

3. ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 (2020)

Cobb Vanth and Din Djarin

This is the best season finale of any show I have ever seen. I won’t spoil anything, but if you know you know. This season acted as the perfect bridge between the new narrative of Star Wars and the OG narrative by bringing in Boba Fett from the OG films and then Fennec Shand and Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This was a genius choice because it kept the narrative from season one moving forward while also giving us a glimpse at what was to come.

2. ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 1 (2019)

Gorgu and Din Djarin

This show is what really got me into Star Wars. I grew up with the OG trilogy, but I was never the biggest fan until this show came out. After finishing this season, I watched every piece of Star Wars content available on Disney+, and I’ve been a massive fan ever since. This season has everything you could possibly want in Star Wars content, and the anthology-style episode formatting was genius!

1. ‘Ahsoka’ Season 1 (2023)

Ahsoka and Anakin

There is no better Star Wars content than this show right here. I am including live-action, animated, and the films in that statement. Ahsoka Tano is my favorite character in all of Star Wars and this show was pure genius. We finally got to see the crew of the Ghost in live-action, and we got our first glimpse at Star Wars horror content! The casting and writing for this show was truly spectacular, and I am still not over young Ahsoka.

All of these shows are currently available to stream on Disney+.
