The latest She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has surely given us a lot to talk about. The whole episode is filled with Easter eggs from other Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies and shows, and also makes fun of a few changes made along the way. Let’s break it all down. In order of appearance:

1. Jen Mocks Everything And Everyone, And We Love It

Starting from the bar scene, she mentions “billionaires, narcissists, and adult orphans.” This is a call back to The Avengers (2012) when Iron Man and Captain America had a discussion inside the helicarrier and cap called him out for his attitude. Although RDJ’s answer was perfect, it was one of the moments of friction between the two. Callbacks to The Avengers did not stop here, though.

2. The Avengers Need To Fix This ASAP!

Jen was wondering if being an Avenger has any benefits like healthcare, maternity leave, or the most basic part, a salary. This was a callback to Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) when Sam tried to get a bank loan, but since he wasn’t paid anything for his time as an Avenger and got blipped for five years, he had no shot of getting that. We can all relate, Sam.

3. Ant-Man Is Doing What?

This is the scene that everyone is talking about. When Jen was using her computer, her screen showed a bunch of interesting stuff. You could see that there’s a “Find Ant-Man” section, probably similar to “Where’s Waldo?”

4. Asgard’s Culture Is Trending

Right next to the “Find Ant-Man” section, we can also see “Norse Mythology” and “Avengers,” referencing our beloved Thor and his people. This is probably referring to the establishment of the new Asgardian colony in Tønsberg, Norway. As Thor heads off on a new adventure in Thor: Love and Thunder, other people had to take care of their new home on Earth.

5. Some Important News Are Being Covered…

There are a couple of eye-catching headlines. “Man fights with metal claws in bar brawl” and “Why is there a giant statue of a man sticking out of the ocean.” The first one is clearly a nod to Wolverine and his characteristic adamantium skeleton. The second headline is a nod to when the Eternals kill the celestial Tiamut at the end of the movie. There is also a small problem of Tiamut’s huge size and there is no hiding it from the world. Iron Man’s name is also being used as a way to sell sneakers, and they look really like Nike Air Force 1s. Talk about selling merch, huh?

6. Marvel’s Gift To The Viewers

The news website also contains a QR code that links to a free “She-Hulk (2004) #1” comic, giving us an opportunity to check out the source material

7. Probably One Of The Most Famous “Assets” In Recent Movie History

In the same scene, we also get a good look at Jen’s cellphone wallpaper and a text that her mother just sent: “That’s America’s ass!” The joke about Jen’ obsession with Steve Rodger’s backside shows up again in the series after the first episode’s post-credit scene.

8. Kate Bishop Is On To Something

During Jen’s family dinner, her father asks the question we all wanted to know the answer to. What does Hawkeye do with his arrows after shooting them? This is a reference to Hawkeye episode 4 in which Clint wonders why he would ever use boomerang arrows. Kate Bishop tells him “...because they come back. If all trick arrows were boomerangs, then we’d have them all.” There you go, problem solved.

9.  Bruce’s History Is Still A Hot Topic

Jen’s father also mentions that her being She-Hulk is not a problem for them, since it is “not the first time we had to deal with a Hulk in the family…and you didn’t even destroy a city!” Talk about family drama. No wonder Jen’s family’s reunions are such an event for her. Preparation is always essential!

10. Jen Loves The Classics

Since Jen is now representing Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth), also known as Abomination, we get a really nice interaction between the two and lots of references to The Incredible Hulk (2008). On her visit to the supermax prison, the guards give her instructions on what not to do. The conversation is similar to Silence of the Lambs. Jen even jokes if Blonsky is “going to serve her with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.” Wow, Jen, wow.

11. Avengers Prison Technology

Blonsky seems to be imprisoned in a cell that is really similar to the one Nick Fury built especially for Bruce in the first Avengers movie. Jen learns this the hard way when she steps across the yellow line and triggers a small alarm.

Blonsky has a bed and a few amenities in his cell. He mentions that he was injected with a variant of the super soldier serum as well, hoping to become like Captain America. Sometimes following orders is tough.

12. Disney Finally Acknowledged This Fact…

The writers of the show have been joking about the change in Hulk’s actors after 2008.

After Bruce tells Jen that there was no beef between him and Blonsky he adds, “I’m a completely different person now!” While Edward Norton played Bruce Banner in the 2008 movie, Mark Ruffalo played the character from The Avengers on. Ten years later, he is still playing Bruce Banner in the MCU.

13. Blonsky Is Not So Innocent After All

We discover that Blonsky has been sneaking out of prison for underground fights. KDAJ returns as one of MCU’s primary news channels, and they bring a leaked footage of Blonsky fighting in a cage match, which happened in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. KDAJ returns as one of MCU’s primary news channels now covering the fact that surprised Jen. If she thought she had a winning case, things are about to get a lot harder for her job in the superhuman law division.

14. Bruce Has Gone To Space, Again

In the last scene of the episode, the MCU takes an important step toward the Hulk’s future. The Sakaarian ship first seen in Episode 1 shows up again, but now with Bruce inside of it. This could start a major plotline from the Marvel comics, World War Hulk, although nothing is confirmed so far. In the comics, Bruce is sent on a mission by the Illuminati and spends several years on Sakaar after his wife Caiera dies. He gets even more powerful after absorbing the planet’s radiation and grows resentful of the Illuminati. When he returns to Earth, he starts a war against them and other Marvel characters, killing several of them. Even though Iron Man manages to control him at the end of the arc, Banner discovers that he has a son on Sakaar waiting for him. The plot thickens.
