Will Season 3 Of ‘The Mandalorian’ Show Fans More Of Order 66 Or Something Totally Different?
The newest trailer for The Mandalorian season 3 was released a few weeks ago during the NFL Super Wildcard game. It gave us more insight as to what to expect this season. One of the big plot points that the trailers have eluded to is the fact that Din and Grogu will venture to the planet of Mandalore. However, this particular trailer gave us a quick glimpse into what appears to be another scene of Order 66. This could be when we finally find out who saved Grogu from the Jedi temple or something else entirely, such as the Darksaber being stolen from the Jedi temple. Whatever the moment may be, fans are sure in for a wild ride.
One of the most asked questions regarding Grogu is who saved him? Some theories think that Jocasta Nu had a part in saving him, and others believe Mace Windu could’ve saved him as well. However, one of the wildest theories is that Anakin Skywalker saved Grogu. In the new trailer, we see Jedi standing around a door that is currently being breached by someone. If this is an Order 66 scene, then it’s not crazy that we could see Anakin Skywalker again, considering Hayden Christensen just reprised the role in Obi-Wan Kenobi and will also be in Ahsoka. Anakin always had inner turmoil and was manipulated by the Dark Side. This inner turmoil and Grogu’s resemblance to Yoda could’ve caused Anakin to spare Grogu during the massacre.

While fans are used to seeing the Jedi get slaughtered during Order 66, this scene could be something else entirely. The Jedi are crowding around the door, lightsabers drawn, ready to fight whoever comes through that door. This would line up with the sacking of the Jedi Temple and when the Darksaber was stolen. During the fall of the Old Republic era, the Mandalorians attacked the Jedi Temple. This allowed Vizsla to steal the Darksaber from the Jedi Temple. If this is the case, it will make sense why the Jedi are ready to fight.
The scene in the trailer was brief but had fans speculating on the scene and whose perspective it could be from. It could be from Grogu’s perspective, and we could find out how he finally got out of the Temple, or it could be something completely different and surprising. With the Darksaber being a big focus this season, it wouldn’t be crazy to get some more backstory on it, and this could be the moment to do it. Fans will have to wait to see the scene when season 3 premieres in March.
