Well, Star Wars fans, this has certainly been a momentous week. With the premiere of Andor, there has been lots of online activity for people looking for trending news about Disney +’s new streaming show in the far, far away galaxy. Amid all the hubbub, a forgotten gem on youtube.com has resurfaced from over two years ago by The Star Wars Archives, a project from New Zealand that endeavors to make sure that “you will well and truly find the archives are complete”.

In this case, it is the June 2, 2020 post analyzing, as you may have guessed from the title of this article, which Jedi Council chair is indeed the most comfortable? It also led to the creation of this meme which increased traffic to The Star Wars Archives YouTube page exponentially:

Without any further ado, let’s get down to business and break down this analytical breakdown of which chair is the most comfortable. The Star Wars Archives gave his top five out of the twelve seats on the council, so I will start there.

Number 5: Plo Koon. It was noted that his chair was highly ergonomic.

Number 4: Mace Windu. His chair has a low back but is very wide, and it has wide armrests. The Star Wars Archives pointed out that, if needed, the wide armrests would be a good place to store food and drink holders, if having such things would be allowed during Jedi Council meetings.

Number 3:: Yoda. His chair has an egg shape and a footrest. It also has lots of pads on the cushion that worked together to make the most comfortable experience for Yoda.

Number 2: Ki Adi Mundi. Also seemingly ergonomic with a diagonally-graded back and armrests that were closer to the sitter than Mace Windu’s.

Number 1: We have a TIE! This is between Depa Billaba and Yaddle’s seats. The Star Wars Archives points out that Depa Billaba’s chair has a high headrest with fluffy cushioning on which to rest her head during meetings. Yaddle has an egg-shaped chair similar to Yoda’s, but both the width of the seat and the footrest are wider.

And there you have it. Hopefully, this has increased your knowledge of the Jedi Council and it is not 3 AM as you read this.
