Don’t Miss Marvel’s Wastelanders: Wolverine Premiering Today!
Available today, Marvel Entertainment and SiriusXM have returned to the Old Man Logan universe with Marvel’s Wastelanders: Wolverine. The fourth series in the Marvel’s Wastelanders audio drama, this epic is the fourth in the series, following Marvel’s Wastelanders: Star-Lord, Marvel’s Wastelanders: Hawkeye, and Marvel’s Wastelanders: Black Widow.
For those unfamiliar, Marvel has a series of critically acclaimed podcasts set in the Wastelanders universe. The same universe where the old man Logan’s story takes place (the story the movie Logan is based on). In Wastelanders, thirty years ago, every single Marvel superhero had all lost in a situation somewhat similar to Star Wars: Order 66.
With the Avengers, The X-Men, and every superhuman resistance killed or fractured, the villains had taken over the planet, and The Red Skull now serves as President of the United States. Living with severe survivor's guilt, Logan (Wolverine) has gone wandering the wastes, stupified and helpless, over his own failures to protect his fellow X-Men and Mutant proteges.

In Marvel’s Wastelanders: Wolverine, Logan has a chance encounter with Sofia, a mutant on the lam trying to hide. The old man makes a pact to take her to the former X-Men member Kitty Pryde and Rachel Summers for safety. But when the Red Skull, and his top lieutenant Crossbones, try to frame Wolverine to force anti-mutant sentiment front and center, the old man comes to a dark truth: that sometimes, the only option to stop evil like The Red Skull, must be violence. But only if a terrible truth about Logan doesn’t kill him first.
“Fans are going to lose it over Robert Patrick as Old Man Logan! You cannot stop listening to his gritty timbre — he is Wolverine — and Logan’s story here will shock you to your core!” said director and writer Jenny Hall in an interview with Marvel. “From a directing standpoint, this series is epic — a lot of characters, settings, and action. I can’t wait for fans to listen to this series. I hope it’ll blow your mind, break your heart, and give you something to believe in.”
This 10-episode spectacle is written and directed by Peabody Award-winner Jenny Turner Hall, with sound design by Michael Odmark and Daniel Brunell. With original music by Rhett Miller and John Burdick. It stars actors Robert Patrick as Wolverine, with performances by Ashlie Atkinson as Kitty Pryde, Rachel Crowl as Red Skull, Isabella Ferreira as Sofia, Jennifer Ikeda as Rachel Summers, Daniel Sunjata as Cyclops, and Clarke Peters as Professor Charles Xavier.
