'The Black Phone' Reaction Video

The film centers on a small town in the 1970s where children are going missing. Before the abduction of our main character, five other boys are taken by a serial killer dubbed The Grabber, played by Ethan Hawke.
This coming-of-age film invites the viewer to tag along with Finney as he fights for his life with the unexpected aid of the spirits of The Grabber’s victims calling him on a disconnected phone in the basement where he is being kept. All the while police are working hard to find Finney and discover the bodies of the other children. To further intensify the conflict, Finney’s sister has psychic dreams about the victims, including her brother. Catherine notes that there are some jump scares, however, that are not as prominent in this film as they are in the traditional horror genre. The constant tension to feed the fear factor is alive and well in this thriller!
