'Star Wars' Fan Reacts To 'Andor' Episode 7
Andor, episode 7, entitled “Announcement” opens with the heist having garnered the utmost attention throughout the galaxy reaching far enough to be taken as a serious threat by not only the higher-level Imperial leadership but by Emperor Palpatine himself. Supervisor Meero finds the data that she needs to be promoted over Blevin. Cassian returns home to an Imperial presence and realizes that he cannot stay. He begs his mother figure, Maarva to come with him. Maarva has heard of the rebellion’s success in Aldhani and refuses to go as she wants to stay and continue the fight, unknowing of Cassian’s involvement.
Kleya and Vel meet, and Vel is ordered to find and kill Cassian. Mon Mothma, angered by the news of the heist confronts Luthen only to be met coldly. She discusses an alliance with her friend, Tay Kolma to assist in the cause revealing her double life as her husband and daughter do not know of her involvement in the rebellion. The episode ends on a cliffhanger – Cassian is arrested on numerous trumped-up false charges under his assumed identity and sentenced to six years in prison. Meanwhile, Syril Karn has been busy rebuilding his reputation and likely will continue hunting Cassian.
