'Ms. Marvel' Episode 4 Reaction
In episode 4 of Ms. Marvel fans are transported to new locations. Including where most of the episode is set, Karachi. Kamala lands in Pakistan to discover more about the town and her family history. It makes sense now why they chose a Pakistani director for the episode as he really captures the feeling of the country and the history surrounding the partition of India and Pakistan. Blending the real historical events of the country into the story of Kamala Khan. This episode gives the audience answers to several questions raised throughout the previous three episodes, but it also raises several of its own.
During the episode's runtime, the director spends plenty of time building the narrative around Kamala’s family. Her maternal grandmother, Sana, explains that her powers are the wrong thing to focus on. Sana’s life was saved by the powers Kamala now wields, but Sana also notes that it is just genetics. There is a lot of worldbuilding for the show in this episode but it still manages to have tense moments as well.
