When Asked About 'Moon Knight' Season 2 Oscar Isaac Says, "Why Else Would We Be In Cairo?"
The Disney+ series Moon Knight concluded in May. The show, unfortunately, never received the same attention as Wandavision or Loki, but that didn't stop the fans of it from wanting season 2, especially since the season we got was so short. The season ended with a cliffhanger, that opens up the possibilities for more seasons. While a second season hasn't been officially confirmed, Oscar Issac was recently seen in Mohammad Diab's (Moon Knight's director) TikTok video in Cairo.
When Issac was asked about Moon Knight season 2, he responded by saying "Why else would I be in Cairo?". Issac never signed a long-term contract with Disney, but that doesn't mean Moon Knight couldn't appear again. It would probably mean a new contract would need to be signed, and a pay raise could be possible as well, after the rave reviews the show received. With the Marvel Cinematic Universe leaving phase 4 and entering phase 5, Moon Knight could fill in the blanks for the phase 6 timeline.
While a season 2 has not been confirmed, it's not out of the realm of possibilities. As someone who loved Moon Knight, I hope we do get another season. There is so much more to explore in the story, and how the character connects to the bigger MCU. We will just have to wait and see what Disney decides to do with Moon Knight.
