The park isn’t closed yet, as a new Jurassic World film is in the works. This time, David Koepp, the screenwriter behind the original 1993 Jurassic Park and the 1997 sequel Jurassic Park: Lost World, is returning to write the script for this one. This project, though flying under the radar, is well-liked enough by the studio that a 2025 release date is already being talked about. No director has been named yet, but veteran and celebrated producer Frank Marshall, who oversaw the Jurassic World trilogy, is back in the producer’s chair.

There’s no word on what the story will be, but the film has been said to be launching a new era for the franchise with an all-new storyline, potentially ruling out the return of characters from the previous trilogy and the original Jurassic Park stars will most likely not return either. However, the fact that it is a new Jurassic World film rather than a Jurassic Park film implies that the series might not be taking a back-to-basics approach and perhaps going to strange new frontiers. This story is developing, and hopefully, more information will be released soon. Are you excited for more dinosaur action? Seems Universal is keen to deliver!
