Tragedy For 'Black Panther' Stuntman And Family
Stuntman and actor, Taraja Ramsess, has died in a car crash, along with three of his children. On October 31, the 41-year-old Ramsess was driving and collided with a broken-down tractor-trailer on the exit ramp on Interstate 20 in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident is still under investigation.
Akili Ramsess, the mother of Taraja, confirmed the deaths of her son and his two daughters in an Instagram post. Later she would also confirm the death of his son, who had been hospitalised before succumbing to his injuries several days later. His children were named Sundari, Fujibo, and Kisasi, who were 13 years old, 8 weeks old, and 10 years old respectively. His third daughter remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

“All who knew and met him know how special Taraja was,” Akili wrote in her first post. “He had a deep capacity for love and loved his children more than all. He loved his martial arts, motorcycles, and all things related to filmmaking. He has a very droll yet wicked sense of humor & yet could be as cornball corny as can be.” She ended the post with, “ I can’t believe they’re gone! We are grieving and remain prayerful for my grandchildren’s recovery. Thank you to so many who have already reached out with kind words and prayers.”
Taraja Ramsess had been involved in a lot of MCU projects as part of the stunts team, including both Black Panther films. His list of credits within the industry is a long one, with films such as Creed III, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and The Harder They Fall. He has appeared as a background actor, been behind the cameras, and also worked in the art department.
Ramsess’ partner, Lisa Ann Wilson, has posted on Instagram to confirm the funeral arrangements. The text within the picture states, “Janazah will be held for Taraja Ramsess, SunDari Ramsess, Kisasi Ramsess, Fuji Ramsess. Will be this Sunday at 2pm at The Atlanta Masjid.”
