Just in time for Spooky Season, EA just announced another expansion in the ever-growing list for The Sims 4. This time around, players will explore the world of the living and the dead in an expansion titled ‘Life and Death.’

Sims players will get three new neighborhoods: Crow’s Crossing, Whispering Glen, and Mourningvale. These neighborhoods will be part of a new “world” called Ravenwood. It will introduce a new reward system called Soul’s Journey. This new system will join the Aspiration and Wants systems into one unified system. Fulfilling goals along a Sim’s life, players can build toward the ultimate reward of being reincarnated. When a Sim is reborn, they will have a new trait, “Burning Soul” and depending on what age they are reborn in, Sims can unlock past skills, traits, and milestones.

There will also be new career paths, and one of them is just awesome. Players can work alongside the longest-running character in the franchise, Death, as they work toward being a Grim Reaper. They can also pursue careers as a mortician or funeral director. Those who pursue the Grim Reaper path will be “Grimterns” as they work up the chain in the Netherworld Department of Death. They can maintain scythes and practice reaping souls, and as they get higher in the hierarchy, they can choose which souls to reap or return to life. Players will gather souls to approach the quota, and maybe even earn Employee of the Month!

The Sims 4: Life and Death releases this Halloween for 39.99.
