'The Rings Of Power' Season Two Teaser Just Released
Welcome back to Middle-earth! Amazon Prime Video’s The Rings of Power have just released their new teaser trailer and announced the premiere date for season 2, and it looks even more beautiful and epic than the first season.
The teaser trailer gives the viewer chills and sends excitement throughout as we get a quick 1 minute and 43 seconds of what this season will entail. The characters of Morfydd Clark’s Galadriel, Charles Edwards’s Celebrimbor, Maxim Baldry’s Isildur, Owain Arthur’s Durin IV, and Robert Aramayo’s Elrond, among many other returning characters, make an appearance. There are also quite a few new people and it will be exciting to see who they are and how much they will be involved in the story as we already know they cast some characters in J.R.R. Tolkien’s lore.
RELATED:
In the trailer, it looks like they might be in many of the same places, such as Mordor, Moria and Celebrimbor’s workshop, but there also looks to be many other new places as well, which is exciting. They also have a small quote from the poem that goes with the rings of power: “Darkness will bind them”.
There will be even more magic and special effects in this season as well. especially involving Sauron. In the lore, Sauron is a powerful magical being, a Maia, so hopefully that means we will see more of his abilities. The very exciting thing about this trailer is instead of keeping us in the dark about Sauron, like they did in the first season, they decided to show us exactly who he is: a very handsome elf hiding in plain sight (Charlie Vickers). The transformation of Sauron from season 1 to season 2 definitely answers the question that many had: how will they continue the storyline of Sauron hiding among the people and spreading lies and deceit when they already showed who he was?
Along with releasing the trailer, they also released a quick look inside season 2, which gives us even more scenes and characters and has some of the actors telling us about this season. While the trailer didn’t seem to show much, or any, of The Stranger and the Harfoots, the look inside does show some, which is exciting to see. It also shows us even more about some of the new locations they shot in and up close looks at the costumes and some special effects.
The Rings of Power season 2 will premiere on August 29 on Prime Video, and we can’t wait for it to get here.
