With just one month to go, the anticipation for the release of Netflix’s adaptation of the beloved animated show Avatar: The Last Airbender, is palpable. Not even a month ago, Netflix finally released the first trailer for a show that was announced over five years ago. Today, they released the official trailer for the series.

By the looks of the trailer, the first season will have everything fans could hope for, complete with the tell-tale theme music chugging in the background. Zuko’s Blue Spirit made an appearance, which lines up with the episode titled “Masks.” The forest spirit also makes its live-action debut and it looks fearsome. The trailer also gives us our first look at King Bumi, who will be played by Utkarsh Ambudkar and will likely appear in the “Omashu” episode. Finally, another couple of people making their appearance for the first time were Jet the freedom fighter, and June, the bounty hunter who rides the Shirshu.

The scenes they featured seem to cover all the major beats, which seem to line up well with the episode titles that were released back in August. It hints at the first season following the hard, must-have events that propel Aang toward accepting that he is the Avatar and has a heavy burden to assume now that he’s been freed from his icy limbo. There are also significantly more examples of the bending that will feature in the show, and by the looks of it, a justification for why the show spent so much time in post.

The series drops on Netflix on February 22nd.
