Nintendo surprised the world earlier this year when they gave a direct and showed fans The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, one of the last Switch games to be released before the looming release of the Switch 2 next year. The surprise wasn’t the reveal of the game, but rather that for the first time in franchise history, you’ll play as the eponymous princess herself: Zelda.

Now, a new trailer has been released, detailing the different regions of Hyrule and the people she’ll encounter along the way, like the Gerudo Desert, Kakariko Village, and more.

Echoes of Wisdom is a departure from the previous game that looked similar, Link’s Awakening, by being a more open world like the larger games of Tears of the Kingdom and more. There’s a system of waypoints as well, which players can unlock upon discovery and traverse around the map instantly. Another departure is the inclusion of horse travel. The two horses shown seem to be Epona and of course Zelda’s own white and gold horse. Moving on horseback allows players to defeat weaker enemies, and also jump over small obstacles.

Also along the way, players will be able to mix smoothies, their mixtures granting Zelda special benefits. In typical Zelda fashion, you can also equip different pieces of armor and items that grant you special abilities to get around some of the more difficult terrain in the game.

Finally, the namesake of the game comes from the power to create “echoes” which Zelda can cast from her staff, but when that can’t cut it, the little fairy-like creature that follows you around called Tri, can bind with an object allowing you to control it like you can in Tears of the Kingdom and manipulate them to solve the problems around her.

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom releases on September 26.
