The First Official Trailer For The Upcoming 'Fallout' Series Is Finally Here
Amazon’s Prime Video is gearing up for its Fallout series and released an official trailer to drum up interest in the show. From the looks of the trailer, the show seems to capture the same blend of gritty apocalypse and genuine humor present in the games. The trailer opens with Cooper Howard advertising the vaults in a TV commercial that could be taken straight from the 50s. The trailer skips ahead to the time after the apocalypse when Vault Dweller Lucy emerges and explores the wasteland.
In addition to Lucy, the trailer focuses on Ghoul, played by Walter Goggins. The actor compared his character to Dante’s Virgil from Inferno. According to Goggins, Ghoul is “a guide through the irradiated hellscape” and acts as a bridge between the world’s before and after. He also revealed that Copper Howard was Ghoul’s identity before the apocalypse. The other main character features in the trailer is Maximus who joins the Brotherhood’s mission to restore law and order to the world. Director Jonathan Nolan expressed how difficult it was to capture the tone of the show. Nolan, when talking about adding humor to an end-of-the-world story, said, “There’s a thread of optimism woven into the show.” Fallout premieres on April 11 on Prime Video with all episodes available.
