The Agatha 'WandaVision' Spinoff Has Another Logo Update
When WandaVision premiered in 2021, Agnes seemed like a side character on a sitcom. However, the events of the series revealed her true nature as the Marvel witch Agatha Harkness. Marvel is developing a series focused entirely on the character, and the series much like the character, took on several identities. It started as Agatha: House of Harkness before Marvel decided that Agatha: Coven of Chaos was a better title. In September of this year, Marvel Studios renamed the project Agatha: Darkhold Diaries and dropped a new logo this week to reflect the title change.
A short description obtained from the U.S. Copyright Office Public Records System reads, “In the first episode we see Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) finally break out of a spell she has been trapped in. She can’t wait to go back to her old murderous ways only to find that she is powerless. The only way forward for her is to embark on a perilous quest to get her powers back with the help of an unlikely friend or two.”

Jac Schaeffer is directing the series with Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti Lupone, Sasheer Zamata, and Ali Ahn joining the main cast. In an appearance on The View earlier this year, Lupone spoke about her role, “It’s a coven of witches, and I play Lilia Calderu, who apparently is in the Marvel world. I researched her, she’s hot, she’s really hot, she’s got a great body and hair. I didn’t know there were witches, I didn’t know anything about the Marvel world. There are witches in the Marvel world. So, we are a coven of witches and the witches are: Kathryn Hahn, Aubrey Plaza, and [a] Familiar — if anybody knows Heartstopper — is Joe Locke.” Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is expected to be released in the fall of 2024.
