Sony recently held its annual PlayStation State of Play event, during which they previewed upcoming games that include new installments for God of War and Tekken and an update regarding their PlayStation Stars loyalty program.
Here is a rundown of a few of the highlights presented during the event.
Digital Collectibles For PlayStation Stars
Sony unveiled collectibles that members can earn through their PlayStation Stars loyalty program. These items include a virtual statue of the PlayStation 3 console and the PocketStation hand-held gaming device. They clarified that these are not NFTs, and they can be displayed in the PlayStation app or a member's PSN profile.
When this program was first announced, Sony explained that members will have to participate in tournaments or just play a game once a month to earn points and collectibles.
