In a galaxy not so far, far away…Star Wars content is coming to the popular video game, Rocket League! The game’s Twitter profile posted a trailer this past Monday for this. The trailer shows new skins that will be released for the players as a part of May the 4th celebration, known as Star Wars Day. The skins will be part of the “droid pack”, containing decals, wheels, player banners, and animated toppers.

But who are the droids we are looking for? The ones chosen for this DLC are not only our original trilogy heroes R2-D2 and C-3P0 but also others that made a big difference: BB-8 and K-2S0. Poe and Cassian would certainly be proud. The website also provides some additional info on what’s coming for each of them. For R2, players will get a Twin Suns banner for free. The Octane decal, the wheels, and the topper for him will cost 800 game credits. C-3P0’s content comprises Fennec decals and some golden-themed wheels. His pack is a bit cheaper, around 500 credits. BB-8 stuff will also be 800 credits and includes a Takumi decal, wheels, and a nice topper for the car. And at last, our robot with attitude, K2. This pack will be 500 credits as well, containing a Dominus decal, including some cool, futuristic-looking wheels.

The game is not only releasing these skins but matching cars as well. As the image provided shows, each skin can be equipped with a specific car in mind. This is the Star Wars droid + car bundle. Instead of buying them separately, the game allows the player to get the whole pack and be granted access to all of this in just a click.

Rocket League joins an important list of other really popular games like Fortnite which incorporated Star Wars characters and aesthetics to their gameplay. This will surely help popularize even more what has been put out by Disney and its employees during the last few years.
