‘Star Trek’ Will Be Available Internationally On Prime Video
Paramount+ has a new agreement with Prime Video whereby Star Trek will be available internationally. Paramount+ is the home of all of the Star Trek series and episodes. The deal is headlined by Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Lower Decks. Season three of Star Trek: Picard will debut in the United States and Latin America on February 16th. It will follow in Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom on February 17th. South Korea will see the release later. Other English-speaking regions will see the show before the end of February. Canada is an outlier. Instead of Prime Video, Canadians can see their Star Trek on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and Crave.
In Picard, Patrick Stewart will be joined by much of his old Next Generation crew, including LeVar Burton as Geordi LaForge, Michael Dorn as Worf, Jonathan Frakes as William Riker, Gates McFadden as Dr. Crusher, Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi, and Brent Spiner as a yet unknown character. In addition, lower Decks features the crew of the USS Cerritos, a ship specializing in second contact. The cast includes Tawny Newsome as Mariner, Jack Quaid as Boimler, Noël Wells as Tendi, and Eugene Cordero as Rutherford. Season four of Lower Decks will release later in 2023.
