'Star Trek: Picard' Releases Teaser Trailer And Premiere Date For Final Season

September 8 is recognized as Star Trek Day thanks to the anniversary of the original air date of the original series back in 1966. Paramount+ had a great streaming show hosted by Paul F Tompkins and Star Trek: Lower Decks star Tawny Newsome. There was a lot to celebrate from the memorial of Nichelle Nichols to previews of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Newsome’s Lower Decks. But the biggest piece of news was for the fans of Picard with the announcement of a release date and a new trailer.
We see that Jean-Luc Picard appears to help his old friend Dr. Beverley Crusher and will join the rest of his Enterprise crew in finding the solution. The crew appears to be mostly back except Brent Spiner. Regular character from Star Trek: Voyager and Picard, Seven of Nine, looks to continue her path to her own spin-off. The other interesting aspect is Paramount going out of their way to make it clear this is the final season and that probably means we’ll need to have the tissues ready.
Picard the final season premieres on February 16 on Paramount+
