Star Of 'Squid Game' Confirms Season Two's Release Month
Now and again, a TV show comes along that is so widely known it seems like everyone on the planet has watched it. Such was the case with the 2021 mega-hit South Korean show Squid Game, which took the world by storm, smashing Netflix watch records and instantly becoming part of the cultural lexicon. With its cliffhanger ending, everyone wondered when we’d see the second season.
A teaser trailer was released in 2022 confirming that we’d get that second season in 2024. The show's star, Lee Jung-jae, has narrowed it down a bit. Through an interpreter, he confirmed with Insider magazine that the second season will premiere in December 2024. The exact date is unknown as of yet.

It will be interesting to see if the second season can live up to the hype. The cliffhanger ending of the first one left us wanting a second season right away. That we’ve had to wait soon to be three years at this point is hopefully a good sign that they’re putting as much time, effort and care into the new season as they did the original. I, for one, can’t wait to see what deadly games they play next.
