With the conclusion of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans were excited to see Tom Holland’s new adventures as the webhead. Now, Sony Pictures Producer Amy Pascal has confirmed that there will be a Spider-Man 4 but with a catch. Pascal explained that any progress on the project is on hold during the WGA strike, “We’re in the process, but [with] the writers’ strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.”

Tom Holland confirmed that they were in meetings to discuss the film until the strike put things on pause. The actor said, “I can’t talk about that [Spider-Man 4], but I can say we have been having meetings. We’ve put the meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers. There’s been multiple conversations had, but at this point, it’s very, very early stages.”

Although fans will have to wait a little longer for Spider-Man 4, the MCU’s friendly neighborhood program and the rest of the team behind the film are engaging in their own heroics with their support of the writers. Pascal revealed two other live-action projects in the work focused on Miles Morales, the protagonist of the Spider-Verse movies, and Spider-Woman. Producer Avi Arad teased that the Spider-Woman film will come much sooner than expected. While Spider-Man fans wait for the next installment, they can relieve Tom Holland’s first outing as Spidey in Spiderman: Homecoming on Disney+.
