'Sonic Frontiers' Takes Home Best Action Adventure Game At Awards Show
Things just keep looking up for the latest installment in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, Sonic Frontiers. Though it may have lost out on the player’s choice award at The Game Awards to Genshin Impact, the title recently won the best Action Adventure game award at the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards.
Other titles nominated for this award were God of War: Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West. Tomoya Ohtani, the composer for the title, had this to say on Twitter regarding the award:

Translated, the tweet reads, “I've never had a chance to win an award like this before, so I'm grateful just to be nominated. Thank you so much to everyone who voted.”
Morio Kishimoto, the designer, and director for the title, chimed in as well:
“Earlier, we received the Action Adventure Category Grand Prize at the ‘Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2022,’” The tweet reads, “We received the support of many people in Japan, and thanks to all of you, we were able to receive the Japan Game Awards Future Category Award before the release, and this award after the release.
Other winners included Elden Ring, which won Game of the Year but lost to Xenoblade 3 in the RPG category. With the new DLC on the way for Sonic Frontiers and this recent award, it seems fans of the blue blur have a lot to celebrate.
