Sonic Frontiers has just been shown off at Gamescom through Opening Night Live. The announcement was made on Geoff Keighley's Twitter on August 9th.

Though not much was known about what would be shown off at the time, speculation ran rampant.

Some, however, still seemed burned by the no-show at Summer Games Fest.

However, all those fears were dashed as a new trailer was revealed at the event, this time focusing on the story. The trailer featured new looks at the combat, open world areas, and Cyberspace levels in addition to revealing the English voice of Sage and our first look at the cutscenes. This trailer also confirmed the game's release date as being November 8th, 2022.

In addition, the full breakdown of editions for the game has been revealed. The standard edition will cost $60, while the digital deluxe edition will cost $70 and will come with the Explorer's Treasure Box, which includes items such as Amy's Memory Tokens, Knuckles' Memory Tokens, Tails' Memory Tokens, Portal Gears, Chaos Emerald Vault Keys, Additional Gloves & Shoes for Sonic, and a Digital Art Book with a 25-track Digital Mini Soundtrack. Those who pre-order will also receive the Adventurer's Treasure Box which includes Skill Points, Red Seeds of Power, and Blue Seeds of Defense that will give the player a “boost” during their journey. In addition, players who sign up for the email newsletter will receive exclusive in-game items.  Pre-orders for the title went live shortly after the trailer premiered.
