Someone Made A Downloadable 3D Model of Mando's N1 Starfighter

Fandom is an amazing thing. Fans can consistently take their favorite series, movies, video games, books, etc., and create something new and breathtaking with their passion. These fan creations go beyond what the original creators expect or anticipate most of the time. Perhaps the most recent example comes from a fan of The Book of Boba Fett, who created a near-perfect Mandalorian N-1 Naboo Starfighter model. And the best part is, the model is available for purchase right now!

A user named JCulley3D said he was inspired by the ship, and they created a 3D model of Mando's new modified N-1 Naboo Starfighter and uploaded it to Sketchfab.com. The model is quite impressive, and it looks like a one-to-one recreation of the ship seen in The Book of Boba Fett. The speed at which he created the 3D model is another thing to marvel at. The model was uploaded a mere week ago. This means that it was uploaded two days after Chapter 6 of The Book of Boba Fett, which means JCulley3D created the model in a little over a week. Although he did have the model of a regular N-1 Starfighter already finished, that is still super impressive! The model is also incredibly detailed for a fan creation made in a little over a week. This would rival professionally done models that probably took far longer to create. Needless to say, JCculley is super talented.

The model is also available for purchase from Sketchfab for $29.99 and can be downloaded for use in any fan projects or personal use as long as it falls under the Editorial License included with the model (which can be read about here). The model also contains the files that are broken up to make printing more straightforward, as well as the un-broken model. All in all, it is a fantastic model that obviously had a lot of hard work put into it. JCulley3D also has a Patreon with several other models and files available. There is also a YouTube channel where he documents his projects and the creation process. If you have any interest in modeling or want to give it a try, it is definitely worth checking out. 3D printing has come a long way in recent years, and purchasing one for hobbies is becoming more and more accessible.

This modified version of the N-1 Naboo Starfighter debuted in The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 5. With the destruction of the Razor Crest, Din Djarin helps Peli Motto modify this new ship as a replacement for the Razor Crest. The new ship has a great deal more speed and maneuverability than Mando's previous ship, and it conveniently has an empty astromech droid slot potentially for a small, green companion. Although the new ship may lack some of the storage space of the previous ship, it certainly makes up for it in speed, and it is also much better than no ship at all.

The power of fandom is truly an amazing thing. Fandom often has a reputation for being toxic and negative, but most fans are incredibly cool at the end of the day. Some can even take something they love and use it to make something that others can enjoy. Whether replica 3D models of starships, fan films, fan-fic, fan animations, parodies, epic artwork, or any other creative project spawned from the love of something, fans will never stop creating things based on what they love. Some fans are so good at creating fan art that they get hired by the company to make what they love. Star Wars is no exception, and it boasts some of the most passionate, caring, creative, talented, and intuitive fans across all pop culture.
