Ryan Gosling Shows His Muscial Talent In Extended 'Barbie' Trailer
When someone thinks of Barbie, chances are that thoughts of her situational boyfriend and male counterpart, Ken, are soon to follow. While Barbie is always advertised with different outfits, accessories, and other items to live out whichever lifestyle and career would suit her best, Ken was often the afterthought of many who played with them. To some, Ken is an accessory for Barbie.
In Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Barbie film, Ken slowly but surely starts to lament his position as Barbie’s counterpart, tagging alongside her as she goes out into the real world. It isn’t long before the two realize that the real world is nothing like Barbieland.

In a new extended trailer for Barbie, Ken, played by Ryan Gosling, bemoans about his inner struggle to find out who he’s supposed to be other than a beach-loving pretty boy. How, you may ask? By singing, of course!
Gosling is no stranger to singing, for those who remember the 2000-something movie La La Land. His voice still rings loud and clear as he opens his heart about his turmoil to find out who “just Ken” really is. From the looks and sounds of it, Gosling is just as excited to shine a bit of limelight on Ken as Warner Bros. and Gerwig are.
To find out if Gosling and Margot Robbie extend their voices even more so in the movie, be sure to check out Barbie in theaters on July 21! That way everyone can find out who “just Ken” really is together.
