EXCLUSIVE: Photos From Behind the Scenes of Indiana Jones 5
Scotland is a beautiful country known for many things, but over the last few years one city has become increasingly popular within the film industry. That city is Glasgow. Due to the city's architecture, it has served as a stand-in for many American cities in movies, some of which include Cloud Atlas, World War Z, and the upcoming Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson.
For the last week however, it has played host to the hotly anticipated upcoming Indiana Jones 5. The streets of Glasgow's town center have been draped in old-time American decor, making it quite unrecognizable in parts. Fans have flocked to the center during the city's heat wave to try and get a glimpse of what is going on. Considering the filming is taking place quite literally ten minutes away from my own home, I had to join in and took some pictures of the scenes myself, which I can exclusively bring to you now:

Sadly, other streets were completely off limits, so this was as close as I could get, and while director James Mangold and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge have been spotted around the town center, they were not about at this time. The main man himself, Harrison Ford, has yet to be spotted, but his stunt double was filmed riding a horse up and down one of the centers busiest streets a couple of days ago, causing many fans to believe it was him. It remains to be seen as to whether or not he will show up for any filming.
Interestingly, once this film wraps, the city is set to host another big movie. Scenes from the upcoming Flash movie are also set to be filmed in the city. Whilst the architecture does match that found in America, a lot of the buildings also have a very gothic feel, making it a perfect stand in for a Batman flick, especially since Michael Keaton will be returning to the role. The aesthetic in Glasgow will marry up with the feel from Burton's first two films (which also starred Keaton) quite nicely. Being a huge Batman fan, you can bet I will be bringing you exclusive pictures from this as well.
Glasgow is often cited as having some of the most friendliest people in the world and we mainly keep to ourselves. However, when something like this happens, we come out in our droves to soak up some of that Hollywood sparkle. I suppose the only downside is, with streets shut off for filming, it makes it hard for one to get to and from work, but who would really complain about that?
As always, we will keep you updated with any new news and exclusive content as and when it happens.
Until next time!
