Prime Video's 'Fallout' Receives A Greenlight For Season 2

Over a week into the release of Fallout on Prime TV, and the show has already received a go-ahead for season two.
This follows recent news that the show is receiving an invite, through a financial incentive, to relocate production to California through the use of a $25 million tax credit. This indicated to many that the renewal of the show was coming soon after its release.
Reception of the show has been stellar. As a gift to fans, it was released a day earlier than it was originally slated to, and since then it has topped the charts with excellent reviews. The show stars Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, and Aaron Moten, set in the iconic post-nuclear-apocalypse world made famous by the games the title is derived from.

Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, released a statement praising the work of the cast and crew, and pointing to the high bar the fans of the franchise had set for them and how proud she is of having achieved something they enjoy. The success of the show is even leading to a massive increase in sales for the Fallout games, with Fallout 76 seeing an increase in players on Steam, and a whopping 7,500% increase in sales of Fallout 4 in Europe.
Jonathan Nolan, the showrunner for Fallout, alluded to the hope that there would be a second season. He talked about how when you’re making a first season without knowing if there is a second, you focus on telling the story for that season but leave enough that you can make a second if the green light comes.
One thing that fans seem to hope for is finally seeing a Deathclaw, one of the most dangerous creatures that populate the wasteland in the games. They got a glimpse of the possibility by the presence of one of their skulls at the end of the first season.
