Potential Release Window Given For 'LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga'
There is great news for all those gamers out there! LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is being released in Spring 2022! This means the fan base could hopefully see the game by April or May 2022. After the disappointing delay in 2021, gamers and the Star Wars fanbase can get excited again. Gamers are probably familiar with the original scheduled release of 2020, now after two years of waiting and anticipation it seems LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is back on track. Release was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has really affected all sectors of society.
According to Traveller’s Tales’s (TT games) the game is expected to feature a new combat system, where lightsabers can be wielded with light and heavy attacks and the blasters will sport over-the-shoulder cameras. There will be five individual chapters allowing gamers to experience all nine Star Wars films. This is just the latest video game from LEGO and Star Wars. The very first LEGO Star Wars was released in 2005, to sweeping popularity, sparking multiple sequels and spin-offs, as well as a couple holiday specials.

Star Wars gamers have been able to experience quite a lot of video games in the past decade. The release of the new LEGO Star Wars game will hopefully come around the time when the Star Wars Convention in Anaheim, CA will take place. The weekend of May 27, 2022 is the return of Star Wars Conventions. Disney fans can also experience After Dark at Disneyland: Star Wars Nights in May where special attractions, events, and food will be available at Disneyland. Spring 2022 has the potential to be a very exciting and fun time for the Star Wars fanbase. Maybe even Season 3 of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian will be released around this time. Don’t forget the highly anticipated Disney+ series Kenobi which is soon to be released as well.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga looks to be released on the following platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game is also set to allow gamers to create their own distinct voyage anywhere in the galaxy. There is already so much anticipation for this game from the Star Wars gamer fanbase. They have waited so long now for the release of the game, and from the sounds of it, they will not be disappointed. There is much to look forward to for the Star Wars fanbase in 2022; this is exciting! Many fresh, new Star Wars toys have been released with a million more well on the way, with the action figures and play sets looking good.
TT Games and LEGO are growing with other popular franchises like Marvel, DC Comics, Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings. In 2020, Disney released the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special and in 2021, the foolw-up special, and spiritual sequel LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales. Star Wars and LEGO are set to provide a lot of theatrical and gaming experiences in the near future. We have already seen Star Wars Squadrons for gamers, and the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, and, most recently, The Book of Boba Fett. I don’t know about everyone else but as a part of the Star Wars fanbase, I'm excited!
