Paul McCartney Makes A Special Appearance On DC's 'Worlds Finest #10' Variant Cover
Batman/Superman World's Finest #10 comes out on December 20th of this year. The story inside ties into Superman's secret sidekick, the Boy Thunder, as the Teen Titans push him to reveal what he's hiding from Batman and Superman. However, that is not the only interesting thing about this comic. In September, it was revealed that Dan Mora would be drawing a holiday variant cover for this issue. The cover features Superman singing with none other than ex-Beatle and music legend Sir Paul McCartney!
Originally, the cover was revealed with the singer redacted. There was speculation over who this mystery person could be, but it was clear that it was a real-world celebrity. The full cover was revealed on November 16th to retailers, and it features Supes and Macca jamming out to McCartney's 1979 Christmas hit, “Wonderful Christmastime.” The music legend is an avid fan of comics, with him even basing a song on the X-Men villains Magneto and Titanium Man. His work has also influenced the medium as well, with the character Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy being based on the song Rocky Racoon that McCartney wrote with The Beatles. This is also not the first time he has graced this medium, with him appearing in several Marvel comics. Batman/Superman World's Finest #10 will be released on December 20th of this year.
