Paul Bettany Returns As Vision For 2026 Marvel Series, With Terry Matalas Serving As Showrunner
Paul Bettany will be reprising his role as Vision in a new series for Marvel due to air at some point in 2026. There have been rumors about a Bettany fronted show since a Deadline article in 2022 reported that a ‘White Vision’ series, with the working title Vision Quest was in the pipeline. Paul Bettany is also part of the Star Wars universe and plays Dryden Vos in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Before he took up the role of Vision, in Marvel, he voiced Jarvis, who would become part of Vision’s consciousness.
Terry Matalas (Picard, Twelve Monkeys, MacGyver) has now officially signed on as showrunner, which gives hope that Vision Quest will materialize in 2026 as promised. Marvel have said that they are reducing their output with a view to making higher quality shows over a longer period, with two instead of four a year a more realistic target. It sounds as if Marvel are finally listening to feedback.
