Paradox Interactive Will Begin Raising The Prices Of Select 'Crusader Kings 3' DLC
Paradox Interactive, the developer and producer of Crusader Kings 3, has decided to double the price of flavour DLC packs going forward.
Flavour packs traditionally are DLC that offer new clothes, languages, and cultures to the game, not new game mechanics, which are usually left for bigger, more expensive DLC like Royal Court.

The DLC is currently priced at $6.99, and that will rise to $12.99 from the 13th of September. The developer said in a forum post the price they were "altering the prices of our Flavour Packs (Northern Lords and Fate of Iberia) to reflect the overall value of this kind of content moving forward".
The price rise won’t affect the cost of the Royal Court DLC, but it will affect the price of other Flavour Packs going forward.
No particular reason has been given for the price rise, which has inevitably caused grievance in some fans. Responses to the developer’s forum post have been very critical. some stating “Neither of those packs was worth 13 USD, especially with all the need for retroactive fixes.” with others stating “I just think that this price change does nothing but spite fans”
Future Flavour Packs may indeed include more content, but as it stands many fans do not feel the DLC is worth a price increase. The post mentions the price rise is in USD. The increase may vary in other regions.
The price rise was confirmed by Paradox’s official Twitter account, whilst also confirming that Northern Lords and Fate of Iberia should be coming to consoles by the end of the year.
