Nick Baker, Xbox Insider, Leaks PlayStation 'God Of War' Trilogy Remake Rumor

Nick Baker, a video game industry insider, typically regarding Xbox news, has recently reported on a major rumor about the original God of War game trilogy, initially released on the PlayStation 2 in 2005, 2007, and 2010, respectively.
The big news appears to be that a remaster of the original trilogy is in the works:
"I'm a person for a long time has bemoaned the direction God of War went somewhat, and have yearned for the hack n' slash OG God of War games. I just love them so much. And when I heard this might be happening, I told a friend of mine who also loves the OG God of War games and they got very excited. And I heard we might be getting the OG God of War trilogy remastered on PlayStation.”
Baker continues:
"Now, I'm not 100 percent sure if it will be announced in 2024 and released in 2024 or released in 2025... that part I'm not clear on, but what I have heard is OG God of War Trilogy remaster.”
This is the extent of the rumor and, at this time, nobody knows what the source of the rumor is, nor who will be remaking the games. Some people have suggested remastering/remake veteran Bluepoint, but others have suggested that it could also be Santa Monica Studios. Neither PlayStation nor Santa Monica Studios have issued any comments about this rumor.
Baker is generally considered a reliable source, although he has been wrong sometimes, as is normal in the business. However, the rumor seems at least possible, as PlayStation has been increasingly remastering/remaking some of its more popular titles. Amazon Prime Video also is working on a television series adaptation of the popular game series, making it seem like a good time for a remastering/remake of the games that started it all.
