New Toy Set Reveals Spider-Man's New Suit For 'No Way Home'
Big news, Marvel fans! It would appear that a new toy set has just given us our first glimpse at Spider-Man for the upcoming three-quel, No Way Home, and it looks like he's getting another new suit! Yes, the good people at LEGO, who have become somewhat synonymous with small spoilers to big upcoming TV shows and films with their sets, have revealed their official LEGO set for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Shock and horror, it seems to contain a little spoiler with regards to the famous wall-crawler's outfit in the next film.
Since the tragic event that befell Iron Man in Endgame, Tom Holland's Spider-Man has kind of become the new face of the MCU. With his team-up appearances in other characters' films and his own individual two, it's hard to remember a time he wasn't part of it. His inclusion within the MCU was a huge deal, after all, so it makes sense to have him front in center, and it was well expected that LEGO would make a set for it.
As it stands at the moment, there's very little known about the actual plot details for No Way Home, but it's had a ton of attention since its announcement, and all sorts of interesting rumors about the theme and plot have been coming out. We do know Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange will be the supporting MCU character in this film, and the fairly newly revealed multiverse will apparently allow characters and cast from previous Spider-Man franchises to appear as well. Plus, remember Far From Home ended with Mysterio apparently revealing Peter Parker as Spider-Man to the world, so we still have that to deal with. It's shaping up to be quite the spectacle.
Thanks to the new LEGO set being released to tie in with the film, another new suit also appears to be on the cards as well, as per the images below from the official LEGO website:
The set includes MJ (Zendaya), Doctor Strange, Wong (Benedict Wong), and Spider-Man at the Sanctum Sanctorum, although it is unclear if this comes from a scene in the film or if it's just a random setting as sets in the past haven't always accurately depicted the plot of a film. Not only is the Spider-Man figure sporting a new suit, but the promotional art on the box also gives us a look at i,t too.
It seems to be a combination of the red and black suit made by Peter at the end of the second film using Stark technology, and the Iron Spider suit gifted to him by Stark himself. The gold from the Iron Spider suit, seems to layover the suit he made himself. The new suit also carries a resemblance to the one worn in the video game Marvel's Spider-Man, except for it being blue instead of black in the game.
With this reveal, many fans are now wondering, can a proper live-action poster be far behind? Dare we say it, a teaser trailer? We'll just need to wait and see...
Until next time!
