Netflix Reveals Trailer For 'Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir' Movie Premiering In July

A teaser trailer for Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie has premiered on Netflix’s YouTube. Based on the popular French animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, the movie follows ordinary teenage girl Marinette Dupain-Chang (voiced by Cristina Vee in the English dub) in her daily life as a high school student in Paris. However, her life is soon turned upside down as she encounters a creature named Tiki who entrusts her with the Ladybug miraculous, transforming her into the superhero Ladybug.

Now, she must balance her normal life with that of a superhero saving the streets of Paris from a new villain wreaking havoc. However, she is not alone, as another has been entrusted with a miraculous: a hero named Cat Noir (voiced by Bryce Papenbrook in the English version), who is, in reality, the famous teen supermodel and classmate to Marinette Adrien Agreste.

Neither teen can know each other’s secret identities, however. The film appears to be a retelling of the origin story and has a similar visual style to the original cartoon. Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie is set to premiere on Netflix on July 28th, and the original show, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is currently airing on Disney Channel and streaming on Netflix.
