Natasha Liu Bordizzo Confirms That 'Ahsoka' Season 2 Will Start Filming In Summer 2025
Fans started begging for more Ahsoka before the first season ended on Disney+. The limited series has been given the green light for a second season; however, until recently, no other details had been shared. This lack of information, of course, led to much speculation within the fandom. Fortunately, Natasha Liu Bordizzo offered reassurance that the story would continue by confirming at Dragon Con that Ahsoka would start filming in the summer of 2025!
No hard-hitting facts about characters and storylines have been shared thus far. However, the plot will likely center on Ahsoka and Sabine being stranded on Peridea. It is currently unknown what to expect in terms of plot regarding the Nightsisters, Grand Admiral Thrawn or Ezra Bridger, and Hera Syndulla. An area of concern regarding characters is what the plan may be regarding Baylan Skoll and who, if anyone, will be cast to play him due to Ray Stevenson’s tragic passing.
Bordizzo shared that filming will not begin until after The Mandalorian and Grogu filming wraps. With the movie releasing to theaters on May 26, 2026, it seems likely to expect Ahsoka to drop within close proximity to run with the momentum of Star Wars making its cinematic return to the big screen. Enthusiasts are hopeful for more updates during Star Wars Celebration in Japan.
