This Leak On Reddit Shows Costumes From 'Spiderman: No Way Home' Including Green Goblin And Many More
The world is gearing up for the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, a movie that has had so much hype since Marvel keeps sending people on rabbit trails trying to figure out exactly what it will be about, and who will be in it, etc. For once, Tom Holland has been able to keep his mouth relatively shut. Because of this, there have not been many leaks as Marvel fans would love to see. However, a recent leak on Reddit might be exactly what fans are looking for.
Costume descriptions from Spider-Man: No Way Home are apparently leaked from behind the scenes. There are details about Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, as well as specific descriptions of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man costumes from their different variations. Even though Marvel kept throwing people off with a “will they, won’t they be?” in Spider-Man: No Way Home, this leak seems to be a definite yes that we will be seeing Garfield and Maguire at some point in this film. The rumors have been abound for months about whether fans would see the previous Spider-Man actors in the film. Garfield and Maguire have yet to return as Spider-Man in the official Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Disney/Marvel have not been able to acquire the rights from Sony for a long time. This is why Tom Holland was cast, and he has been Spider-Man ever since. Many Marvel fans have been calling for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to reprise their versions of Peter Parker/Spider-Man for the MCU. Now it seems like Disney/Marvel has finally decided it can happen.

Of course, fans already know that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be bringing back several villains from previous Spider-Man movies and comics. One of these returns is, of course, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, which was first featured in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man in 2002. One of the other highly anticipated returns is Doctor Octopus, meaning that Alfred Molina is reprising his role from Spider-Man 2. Jamie Foxx’s Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is also making an appearance in the film. There have been rumors that we might see Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman from Spider-Man 3 and Rhys Ifan’s Lizard from The Amazing Spider-Man. However, No Way Home director Jon Watts has recently said that those rumors are false.
The Reddit leak brings up some basic and yet exciting details about the Green Goblin suit we will supposedly be seeing in Spider-Man: No Way Home. For purists, the Green Goblin suit will still have the same basic framework as the suit from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy with, of course, some updates. In addition to the structural suit fans are familiar with, the costume will also include a tan shoulder strap with a belt and a bomb bag. These elements are true to what the Green Goblin’s suit looks like in the comics, which should make comic fans very excited. Along with the green color, there will also be some gold and purple accents from various accessories in the body armor. The leak, which happens to be a sighting of the costume, describes the suit as damaged so it looks worn and patchy. The person in the costume is also wearing goggles rather than the suit’s usual helmet.
This leak also points out that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are also going to be wearing mostly their same original suits from their time as Spider-Man. Of course, there will be a few modifications and certain specifications. Garfield’s costume, in particular, seems to be very similar to his look in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This is very fascinating because a little while ago, there was leaked video footage of Andrew Garfield in a Spider-Man suit that looked identical to the one that is shown in the leaked Reddit images. However, Garfield has claimed that that video footage was doctored and was in no way what the costume looked like. This makes the mystery of the leaked images even more interesting.
The image leak also shows a very early rendition of Tom Holland’s new black and gold suit, which is briefly shown in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer. We know for sure that we will be seeing this suit in the movie. The new image from the leak shows a bit of red in the black and gold. For some strange reason, there is also a cell phone taped to the chest?
These details gleaned from the leaked images have yet to completely be verified, so don’t get too excited just yet. However, they have absolutely been a part of the many rumors and speculation that are running rampant in the Marvel community at this point, not to mention the rumors of Garfield and Maguire being in the upcoming movie.
Fans will not have to wait too much longer to find out if the rumors are true or false. Spider-Man: No Way Home opens in theaters on December 17.
