Netflix is gearing up to scratch another nostalgia-driven itch. This time reuniting cast members from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in a 30th-anniversary special titled Once and Always. The latest clip gives a deeper dive into a blink-and-you-miss-it scene from the previously released trailer.

The scene shows Rocky DeSantos (Red Ranger) and Zack Taylor (Black Ranger) arriving at the Angel Grove Youth Center and Juice Bar. Once there, they distract enemies from the Yellow Ranger’s daughter (Minh), played by Charlie Kersh, and proceed to give them a beatdown. Zack truly puts the beat in beatdown in this scene. Once again deploying his famous Hip Hop Kido to take out numerous enemies at once, to which Minh exclaims, “Are you break dance fighting!?” Rocky shows he hasn’t lost his touch either, taking out three enemies with a single kick.

This reunion is set to bring back the likes of David Yost, Walter Emanuel Jones, Katherine Sutherland, Steve Cardenas, Johnny Yong Bosch, and Karan Ashley. Thuy Trang, who played the original Yellow Ranger, sadly passed away in 2001 so Charlie Kersh’s role will act as a tribute to the late actor. Jason David Frank, who played the Green Ranger, passed away in 2022 and was confirmed to not be reprising his role in the film even though it was filmed before he passed. The Green Ranger is shown in the first trailer, but fans will have to wait to see who will take on the mantle until the movie hits streaming.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once And Always will be streaming on Netflix on April 19th, 2023.
