Matt Smith Discusses Season Two Of 'House Of The Dragon' Ahead Of June Release
As large-scale franchises become more and more the rage, prequels come with the territory. The HBO fantasy show Game of Thrones is no exception, and Matt Smith, who plays Daemon, from the prequel series House Of The Dragon recently spoke out about his role in the series.
“I think Daemon would make a really good vampire,” Smith said of his warrior prince character. “I can imagine him wandering the earth alone for all eternity.” The take may seem absurd to non-fans, but when you remember that Game Of Thrones is a series that features literal fire-breathing dragons, the take makes more sense. “He’d probably make a terrible king,” Smith also said.

Another relevant quote he stated was “You never really know which way he’s going to go. I always viewed him as an agent of chaos.” Smith also said that when he starred in Dr. Who as the youngest doctor, people would say to him ‘Don’t break “Doctor Who”!’, which he said was because they didn’t know who he was. He has since stated that he has since won fans over. “Briefly. But my agent, very quickly, was like, ‘You’re doing it.’ Thank God.”
The first season of House Of The Dragon is currently available on HBO.
