Fans of the live-action Masters of The Universe movie will hear a familiar voice in the upcoming Netflix series, Masters of the Universe: Revolution. In a press release from Netflix, Meg Foster, who played Evil-Lyn in the 1987 commercial bomb, joins the cast as Motherboard, the evil AI who will use her powers to “manipulate Skeletor and the people of Eternia as she aims to ensnare the planet, and Grayskull, as a prize for Hordak.”

The press release describes the character as “a formidable force against the Masters, focused on plunging Eternia into imminent darkness.” With her existence teased at the end of Masters of Universe: Revelation, one could assume that she will be one of the show's main villains. Foster joins a stacked voice cast including Mark Hamil as Skeletor, the late Kevin Conroy as Mer-Man, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, and Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela. William Shatner will also join the cast, but his role has yet to be revealed.

Produced by Kevin Smith, the series is a “spiritual continuation” of the original 1983 animated series, He-Man and Masters of the Universe. Masters of the Universe: Revelation received generally positive reviews, and was repeatedly praised for respecting the source material while breathing new life into the series.

Masters of the Universe: Revolution is set to stream on Netflix in 2024.
