Marvel's 'Midnight Suns' Has Been Delayed To Later This Year
Following a recent tweet from 2K and Firaxis’ official Twitter accounts, gamers were sadly informed that they would have to wait a little longer to don the mantle of “The Hunter” and take the fight to Lilith and her hoard in Marvel’s ‘Midnight Suns’
PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5 owners will be able to get their hands on the game when it launches “later this financial year”. However, Xbox One, PS4, and Switch owners have been left in the negative zone of when they will be able to become part of the eponymous superhero team.
The “Midnight Suns” are a superhero group from a comic run in the mid-’90s, including Spider-man, Iron Man, Wolverine, Blade, and Ghost Rider. Developed by Firaxis, the game is more of a tactical card-based RPG, rather than the 3rd person action-adventure fare that has been released under the Marvel banner in recent years.
While the response from fans overall has been surprisingly understanding, this isn’t the first pushback the game has had. Originally slotted for a March release, the game was pushed back to the latter half of 2022 to “add more story, cinematics, and overall polish”. However, with the October 7th release pushed back to any time before March 2023, fans’ expectations that 2K are “using this extra time to make sure we are delivering the best possible experience for everyone”, will be higher than ever.
