Marvel Teased Fans With A Sneak Peek Of 'Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur'
With the premiere of Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur approaching in this early part of the year, we’re getting to see more of it, including a full sneak peek that Disney Channel and Disney Television Animation posted to their socials on Monday.
The series is about 13- year-old genius Lunella Lafayette and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur after she accidentally brings the dino into present-day New York City, and them teaming up to defend her hometown on the Lower East Side. This sneak peek in particular showcases what supervising director and co-producer Ben Juwono, who boarded and directed the sequence, calls a mixtape moment. Most of these mixtape moments will be set to licensed music, which Juwono is astounded that so many made it through from being temp tracks. The one in the sneak peek is set to “Sweatpants” by Childish Gambino. Executive producer Steve Loter desired to make a “more musically-driven” show, calling for "Baby Driver, but animated”, letting the music guide the visuals.
