Marvel Studios Released A Behind The Scenes Featurette For James Gunn's 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special’

A behind-the-scenes featurette for Marvel Studio’s Special Presentation: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special has been released a week ahead of the special’s release to Disney+.
The featurette, as seen on Twitter, gives some background behind the creation of the special, with some clips to show it off. James Gunn had joked during the production of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 about making a Christmas special for the series, and then after production had wrapped, he wrote it. In three days.

The special was produced during the filming of Volume 3, with it said to be setting up some things that will happen during Volume 3. Both special and feature will end James Gunn’s time being a part of Marvel Studios’ productions. Despite already working on some DCU projects, Gunn has made it clear that he won’t be leaving Marvel or the Guardians series before time.
Tweeting in response to his situation, he said “I've dedicated the majority of the past 10 years of my life to the Guardians trilogy, & I'm not abandoning them or the thousands of people who worked on them at the 11th hour.” Until May, he is a part of both Marvel and DC, with him emphasising that you can love the works of both.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will be released to Disney+ on 25 November, being the conclusion to Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will see a release on 5 May 2023.
