What is a storyline if not characters persevering? As rumors rage on about a Scarlet Witch-focused project, it’s her husband who seems to get the concrete path forward. A Vision series is in development for Disney+.

It’s called Vision Quest, and, should it happen, will see the unwillingly resurrected Synthezoid try to regain his memory and humanity, or so’s been told. As a Vision-centric story, of course, Paul Bettany would reprise his role. So, naturally, this opens the possibility for Wanda (played by Elizabeth Olsen) to appear. This would not necessarily confirm she survived the collapse in Multiverse of Madness but heavily suggests previously unseen moments of their time together. It is referred to as the White Vision project, after the form he awakened during S.W.O.R.D.’s Project Cataract in WandaVision. They rebuilt and reactivated him to go after Wanda to stop her in all her power and the Vision she had conjured in her grief while constructing Westview. That Vision had scanned and enlightened him, so he flew off to resolve the internal issues this brings, teeing off something like this series would do.

The writer’s room opens next week and, like fellow WandaVision spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos, will be overseen by the mothership show’s creator, writer, and executive producer Jac Schaeffer. What this means as far as proximity to being greenlit is unknown, but there are only two announced shows for 2024, none yet for 2025, and plenty of open spots, so there’s probably plenty of time for it to land in either year.
