Marvel Announces A New Standalone Hellcat Series Will Be Arriving Next March

Marvel just announced a new stand-alone Hellcat comic book series, due to arrive in March 2023. The series is planned to be a five-issue saga with Eisner-nominated writer Chris Cantwell and penciller Alex Lins teaming up to bring Patsy Walker to life. Other details released so far are that ‘ex’ Daimon Hellstrom and fan favorite Sleepwalker are joining her in an exciting murder mystery format. Not only will Hellcat be haunted by her mother’s ghost, but she will also be framed. Since Marvel is drawing on Hellcat’s private investigator history, there might be potential for She-Hulk to turn up as well. There’s a lot to be excited about.

Patsy Walker debuted way back in 1945 is one of the most complex characters in the MCU. Originally written in an ‘Archie’ style book, she did not become a superhero for another twenty years, until a cameo in a Fantastic Four graphic novel. Hellcat’s evolution has mirrored that of women in society, she has been fired, got divorced, gone through suicide (and been resurrected again).
