As if there wasn’t enough reason to be excited for D23, Disney just announced they will be adding a Disney and Marvel Games Showcase to their biggest event of the year. On Friday, September 9th, at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET we will be shown a cavalcade of new content; Disney & Pixar Games, Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games, and 20th Century games have all been confirmed to be a part of this exhibition. Specifically, we have been told that LEGO® Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and the highly anticipated Midnight Suns game will be getting some reveals themselves.

It has also been confirmed that we will finally be getting a sneak peak at Amy Henning’s new project for Marvel (Henning is the creator of the beloved Uncharted Series). Previously thought to be a game focused on a sole Marvel hero, Disney revealed that it will be an ensemble game from Henning’s new studio: Skydance New Media.

Considering this is Disney’s most anticipated event of the year, some are speculating that we may get another look at one of Marvel’s most anticipated games: Wolverine. Others are hoping to get more info on Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man 2. The likelihood of that is remote looking at the fact that Spider-Man is still a Sony property regardless of the Marvel association. Nevertheless, this announcement has piqued the interest of many gamers who will now be waiting in anticipation for September 9th.

The Disney and Marvel Games Showcase will be livestreamed on the following platforms:

  • D23Expo.com. @DisneyD23 on YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook

  • Disney and Marvel Entertainment on YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook
