'LEGO Star Wars' 2021 Summer Catalog
So what is your LEGO jam? Are you more into putting together random pieces to create something that only you can explain? Perhaps you enjoy the LEGO set belonging to your favorite fandom. Are you currently working on the 1351-piece LEGO Millennium Falcon or the hard to find 4016-piece LEGO Death Star? Maybe the LEGO Star Wars video game series is up your alley. (This author absolutely loves all the LEGO video games, by the way.) Well, put down that LEGO piece (not on the floor, because nobody wants to experience the pain of stepping on a LEGO piece), and check out this sneak preview at the LEGO Star Wars sets coming out this summer that some sharp eyes have spotted in a Japanese catalog.
The theme of this summer’s LEGO Star Wars sets is none other than the popular Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. While we have to wait until 2022 for season 3 to come out on Disney+, you can work on the ships seen in the show or leave it mint in box on the shelf, whatever floats your boat.
75312 Slave I
The bounty hunter's faithful ship comes with two minifigures of Din Djarin (complete with the Beskar spear), and an updated Boba Fett (wearing the armor featured in The Mandalorian). While you cannot fire the seismic charge from this LEGO model, you can fire studs from the forward-facing guns. So sit your minifigure in the pilot seat and get ready to re-enact your favorite scenes. There is no release date for the 75312 Slave I at this time. If you just need to play with the Slave I right now, the 75243 Slave I 20th Anniversary Edition is available.
You might have recognized the blue and silver Kom'rk-class fighter belonging to Bo-Katan Kryze, our leader of the Nite Owls. This 554-piece set comes with a gyroscopic cockpit that allows you to rotating the ship's wings to either vertical position (for landing) or horizontal position (for flying). The set comes with minifigures of Bo-Katan Kryze, Gar Saxon (who you might remember from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels), and a Mandalorian Loyalist, including 5 plaster pistols and a jetpack for each minifigure. The ship also includes 2 stud fighters, and 2 spring-loaded shooters for your space battles. The official LEGO website already has a release date of August 1, 2021. So save up your allowance.
75311 Imperial Troop Transport
In "Chapter 12: The Siege," we saw Greef Karga escaping from the Imperial base on Nevarro in a transport vehicle. The 75311 Imperial Troop Transport set hopes to recreate the particular scene with the transport vehicle and minifigures of Greef Karga, two Stormtroopers, and a Mortar Stormtrooper.
75315 Moff Gideon's Light Cruiser
While Moff Gideon might be out of commission right now, you can recreate his ship at the height of his power with the 75315 Moff Gideon's Light Cruiser. The ship has playable guns that allow you to shoot in multiple directions. This is also the set to get if you are interested in collecting minifigures from The Mandalorian. The set includes minifigures of Grogu, Din Djarin, Cara Dune, Fennec Shand, Moff Gideon, and a Dark Trooper.
We rewind back to The Clone Wars series, to the duel between Ahsoka Tano and Darth Maul with the 75310 Duel on Mandalore. The smaller 147-piece set includes the throne with a secret compartment for hiding a blaster pistol, and the vault for imprisoning Darth Maul. Of course, we cannot forget the minifigures of Ahsoka Tahno (complete with her dual lightsabers), and Darth Maul (with his scarlet double-bladed lightsaber).
75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle
While we did not see it in the Japanese catalog mentioned above, the 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle is also scheduled for release on August 1, 2021. The 969-piece set comes packed with minifigures of the entire Clone Force 99 (Tech, Echo, Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair), and the Gonk Droid (no Omega though). The Havoc Marauder has movable wings (for landing and flight modes), and 2 spring-loaded shooters. The also set includes two speeder bikes equipped with stud shooters to help out your squad in a mission.
Did any of these LEGO Star Wars sets catch your eyes? This author is definitely saving up for the 75314 Bad Batch Attack Shuttle. Perhaps the 75312 Slave I also, just in time for The Book of Boba Fett.
